What is a PDO Thread Lift?
A PDO thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that uses dissolvable sutures (polydioxanone, or “PDO”) to gently lift sagging skin, improve jawline and cheek definition. They can also soften jowls, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. The threads are placed under the skin with a fine needle or cannula, then carefully positioned to lift and support tissue. Side effects are temporary and may include: pain, swelling, temporal asymmetry, transient rippling or dimple formation, transient haematoma or bruising, slight depression or skin irregularity. These inconveniences should disappear a few days after treatment.
